


GREECE: Massive crowds gather in Thessaloniki to mark third anniversary of Tempi rail disaster
THESSALONIKI, GREECE — Aerial view of thousands of demonstrators gathered in central Thessaloniki to mark the third anniversary of the Tempi railway disaster. Large crowds filled the streets demanding justice for the victims and improved rail safety, as protests took place across Greece. The Tempi train crash, which occurred on February 28, 2023, remains one of the deadliest rail accidents in the country’s history.
