Italian singer-songwriter Malika Ayane performed at Teatro Verdi in Florence on Wednesday as part of her “A Teatro 2026” tour, accompanying the release of her album cicale.
Released in September, the ten-track album followed her 2021 record Malifesto. Its release campaign included the singles “animali notturni”, presented at the 2026 Sanremo Music Festival, “una possibilità” and “detto tra noi”.
Born in Milan in 1984, Ayane trained in cello and sang in the children’s choir at Teatro alla Scala before beginning her recording career. Her repertoire includes “Come foglie”, “Ricomincio da qui” and “Senza fare sul serio”.
