Pro-Palestine Demonstrations Mobilise Thousands Across Greece

ATHENS / THESSALONIKI, GREECE - AUGUST 9, 2026: Demonstrators take part in pro-Palestine rallies in Athens and Thessaloniki during a nationwide day of action in solidarity with the Palestinian people and against the continuing war in Gaza. Demonstrations were organised in dozens of locations across Greece, including major cities, islands and tourist destinations. In Athens, protesters marched from Monastiraki Square to Syntagma Square, while demonstrators gathered at Aristotelous Square in Thessaloniki.
