ATHENS, GREECE — October 29, 2026
Greece's New Left party held a public discussion titled “Do It Like Paris” at the Athens Journalists' Union (ESIEA) on Thursday, examining political developments in France, the rise of social movements across Europe and the prospects for the European Left.
The discussion brought together former Member of the European Parliament Stelios Kouloglou, Danae Koltsida of Transform! Europe, Filippa Chatzistavrou of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and New Left spokesperson Giorgos Lykopantis. Several prominent figures from Greece's left-wing political scene attended the event, including former ministers Nikos Voutsis, Nikos Filis and Panos Skourletis, former government spokesperson Gavriel Sakellaridis, and former MPs Sia Anagnostopoulou and Anneta Kavvadia.
