Students at the Regina Margherita, Carlo Ignazio Giulio and Lagrange schools in Turin have occupied their buildings and announced an ongoing mobilization, drawing inspiration from the French student protest movement.
According to the account provided with the coverage, the occupations developed over the three days preceding October 7. Students are protesting deteriorating school facilities, insecurity within the education system and insufficient investment in public education.
The protesters also oppose the “DL Scuola” school decree, which they say would introduce a cap on foreign students per class. They criticize increased spending on rearmament, arguing that resources should instead support schools and education.
