Supporters of Prosfygika march in central Athens demanding protection of the occupied refugee housing community

Athens, Greece — June 14, 2026. Members and supporters of the Prosfygika community march through central Athens towards Syntagma Square during a demonstration expressing solidarity with residents of the occupied Prosfygika housing complex. The march began with disputes between demonstrators and police over restrictions that confined protesters to a single traffic lane while traffic was not fully halted, before continuing peacefully and returning to Syntagma Square.
