Apostolos Christou Retains European 100m Backstroke Title in Paris

PARIS, FRANCE – AUGUST 16, 2026: Greece’s Apostolos Christou competes during the men’s 100m backstroke at the European Aquatics Championships Paris 2026. Christou retained his European title after a dramatic final, defeating Italy’s world-record holder Thomas Ceccon by just 0.01 seconds.
