Protesters gather outside Israeli Consulate in Istanbul following US-Israeli attacks on Iran

ISTANBUL, TURKEY — March 1, 2026. Protesters burn portraits of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while chanting slogans against the United States and Israel during a demonstration outside the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul. The protest followed US-Israeli military attacks on Iran and came one day after Iranian state television confirmed the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
