


Kissamos Brings the Traditions of a Cretan Wedding Back to Life
KISSAMOS, GREECE – AUGUST 17, 2026: Participants dressed in traditional costumes take part in a reenactment of a Cretan wedding in Kissamos, on the Greek island of Crete. The event featured a procession through the town followed by a presentation of traditional wedding customs, Cretan music and dancing, bringing together residents and visitors in a celebration of the cultural heritage of western Crete.
