Protesters Target EULEX Headquarters After Verdict Against Former KLA Leaders
PRISTINA, KOSOVO — SEPTEMBER 16, 2026: Protesters gather outside the headquarters of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) following the verdict delivered by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers against former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi. Demonstrators blocked the Pristina–Fushë Kosovë road and threw stones, other objects and pyrotechnics towards the building as Kosovo Police formed a cordon around its entrance. A small fire caused by pyrotechnics was extinguished shortly afterwards. The protest continued past midnight and ended at around 12:20 AM on September 17.
